Overview
Titan Rockbore (Lithodont titanicae). A massive colony organism that resembles a spinal cord protected by a thick crab-like shell, extending through seabed fractures beyond scanner range. Interior contains two large flooded channels, one notably radioactive — possibly descended from pyrosomes (sea squirts). Most zooids are deceased, leaving primarily mineral skeleton and hydrocarbon-polymer shell with clogged interior channels. Displays an unknown energy source with no apparent food supply — possibly starving after losing its bacterial symbiotes. Surviving tissue is infected with large RNA viruses similar to Earth's giant sea viruses, with anatomical receptor sites facilitating viral reproduction.
