A deep biome of alien ruins — rich in rare minerals, patrolled by Bulletheads.
Overview
Karakorum is a deep biome spanning 100–400m, subdivided into three sub-regions: the Observatory itself, the Power Plant, and the Root Canyons. This is the first deep biome players enter and contains evidence of prior alien habitation in the form of structural ruins. Seven harvestable resources include two rare minerals not found in surface biomes — Atacamite (a copper chloride mineral) and Celestine (a strontium sulfate mineral) — making it the primary mid-game destination for advanced crafting materials. The Bullethead is the main predatory threat; the Electric Geordie poses a hazard to base electrical systems if it follows players back.
