Coral Gardens
The starting biome — shallow, resource-rich, and home to the game's most dangerous early-game predators.
Overview
Coral Gardens is the primary surface biome spanning 0–200m. It is the first environment players encounter and contains the widest variety of creatures and resources in the game. The biome is subdivided into nine distinct sub-regions, each with its own character: the shallow Anemone Hills and Shallows are relatively safe, while the Leadzone and Graveyard sub-regions carry greater risk. The Coral Gardens is dominated by active coral-sponge ecosystems and hosts the majority of the game's passive fauna alongside several significant threats, including the Collector Leviathan and Marrowbreach. Twelve harvestable resources make it the most productive early-game farming location.

Survival Tips
Stay close to structures when the Collector Leviathan or Marrowbreach are nearby — they cannot follow you into tight terrain. The Leadzone sub-region is the best early source of Lead ore.
